About HRAI: the two founders behind an operating system for HR

HRAI was founded by Merav Sella, an HR consultant with 20 years of experience and a former VP of HR at companies of over 6,000 employees, and Shai Truchman, an AI architect, founder of Wizlu and former CEO of JDate at Spark Networks. She brings the field; he turns it into tested code.

The founding team

Who built HRAI?

Merav Sella

Co-founder · the people side

Twenty years of HR, from the floor to the boardroom: VP of HR at large companies of more than 6,000 employees, and HR for retail chains and branches across the country. Master’s degree in labor studies from Tel Aviv University (executive program). Today she works with growing companies in tech, data and energy, and with large family businesses and their complexities.

She leads the HRBP teams of Merav HR, an outsourced HR firm: Outsourced HR in Israel.

At HRAI every process goes through her first: if it does not work at a real client with at least 100 employees, it does not go into the system.

Shai Truchman

Co-founder · the technology side

Serial entrepreneur and AI architect. CEO of JDate at Spark Networks (NYSE-listed), Chief Digital Officer at Daka 90 and at the Fattal-Leonardo hotel chain, and Solution Architect at Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Founder of Wizlu, AI consulting for organizations, with more ventures behind him: BotCV, UHNWS and EPOA.

At HRAI he wrote what long-established systems do not dare to build: an autonomous agent with levels of trust, a SHA-256 documented record on every document, and Israeli labor law as tested code rather than a footnote.

The story

What happens when an HR expert and an AI engineer build together?

Most HR software is written by people who have never run a disciplinary hearing or worked out the payslip of a shift worker. We wrote HRAI the other way round.

We started from the questions Merav heard for twenty years: who approved these hours? Where is the signed agreement? Why did this employee clock in forty minutes before the shift? Then Shai turned every answer into code, with a record, with a permission, and with an automated test that stays after the feature is forgotten. That is how an operating system was born: recruiting, onboarding, attendance, shifts, payroll inputs, wellbeing and an autonomous agent, in one piece the business runs on.

20+years of hands-on HR

Thousandsof automated tests on every change

How we build

How does a question from the field become a feature?

Every process starts with something that went wrong for a real HR team, and ends as code with a record and a test.

What we stand for

What principles shape the product?

A record for every decision

Signatures verified by a one-time code, a digital fingerprint for every document, and a log of every action.

Built from the field

Processes are proven with real HR teams before they enter the system.

AI under human control

The agent filters, summarizes and recommends; a person decides, and sensitive actions always need a person.

Israeli law as code

Amendment 24, Form 101 and the Hours of Work and Rest Law, implemented and tested rather than footnoted.

Frequently asked

What people ask before they start

Who is behind HRAI?

Two founders. Merav Sella, an HR consultant with 20 years of experience and a former VP of HR at large companies of more than 6,000 employees; and Shai Truchman, an entrepreneur and AI architect, founder of Wizlu and former CEO of JDate at Spark Networks. She brings what happens in the field, and he turns it into code.

Why an “operating system” rather than another HR tool?

Because HRAI does not manage one file in a process; it runs the whole process, from the published job through onboarding and signing, attendance and shifts, to the payroll report. A background agent works alongside the team, WhatsApp is a full working channel, and every action is recorded. That is the infrastructure the business runs on.
